This is probably one of the best or the best dog food on the market! Good luckI had severe digestive problems with my rescue… the best food you can give, one that will cure her.. no kidding cure.. is a food called ANSWERS PET food check it out on dog food advisor and then go to their web site.. My little pit was thoughing up and pooping blood. I am a trainer and I have heard this food was unbelieveable because of all the good healing stuff they put in it… I have changed foods and never looked back. Natural means absolutely nothing. Kibble is going to be just so good because it is all processed. Bheck out ANSWERS PET FOOD and see if you like it… go to their website too. It is fabulous. It is real food with all kinds of good things in it are living. I wouldn’t feed anything else and I wish that there were more foods like this. In a few months you will be able to order it direct from them too.
First you need to know what your dog needs in calories. It depends on what he weighs! I swear by ANSWERS PET FOOD it is real not processed and is amazing. I won’t feed my dogs anything else as I see what it has done for sick dogs too. ALL dog foods should be like this food. Kibble is proceeded. synthetic vitamins not good for dogs. Read about it!

guys, the food you are feeding causes many of the problems you are talking about. I have two pitties, I am a pro trainer.. I use Answers pet food. It is miraculous and I talk about every chance I get. It has saved many a sick rescue. you guys with diabetes and other things mentioned go to Answers pet food. If you like what you see, email them and ask them how to transition your dog over. This food is so unique ans special. It is fermented.. read why this is so important on their site. The royal canin is still filled with carbs… this is not good. You caned just give white rice ( not good anyway) and liver… you are missing so many parts of his diet.
the problem is that there are few, dogs that have a problem, but if it is your dog, it is personal! I would never put that stuff on any dog. If it says don’t touch, why would you put it on your dog. Goes right into their nervous system. I knew a dog that got epileptic sysures from it!

omg stop the meds and get him on ANSWERS dog food. I know that the well meaning people in the post above are trying to help but I am telling you and even them that kibble is processed and it is not great for dogs. They will live on it but not thrive. look this food up and yo will never never go back to kibble or canned food. Meds make up for bad food!!

instead of the metronidazle if you gave raw goats milk it would fix all the bad bacteria in her gut that is making her have runny poop. the med you are giving is killing all the good bacteria and you will have to keep giving it to her and you will have a vicious circle. Goats milk has everything a dog needs to live believe it or not. If you want to give it a try start with about 1/4 of cup. She will have runny poop maybe for about 5 days and then as the goats milk works she will be fine… same for the Great Dane but you need more like start with about a cup
the very best you can give your dog is Answers Pet food. check it out… it is low in carb.. lower than any kibble and it is not processed. I swear by it. I also know that it has helped so many dogs get better with different health problems.
feeding the same thin over and over is not just a question of “getting bored” it is a question of you are limiting what your dogs ingests in the way so many things.. Meat doesn’t smell stronger if it is right. Fresh frozen food is the best of the best. This company is wonderful and so much better than any kibble or canned foods. Remember that kibble is processed and so all the good stuff has been cooked out of it.. they put in synthetic vitamins and the studies show that over time this is bad for dogs BAD. Canned food is not any better because the product is cooked in the can and you have leaching! Look up Answers Pet food. they are rated on advisor and they have a web site. You will wonder why you ever fed that other stuff I promise!!
horizon is very good. I used it. BUT any kibble is going to have limits because it is PROCESSED. Look into Answers Pet food. and you will never look back!!! If your dog has gas it is not normal… when you feed raw especially this one your dogs tummy will settle right down!

I would recommend Answers Pet food. It is raw. easy to feed and really the fantastic. All the kibbles you are feeding are bound to not be great because they are PROCESSED and limited. This is very low in carbs. It is fermented and truly wonderful. As far as I am concerned all dogs should be on a diet like this. You can feed just the meat which is complete and that will keep the calories down ( depending on how much you give him) and it will be so good for him. Contact the company and ask they about the Fermented fish stock they sell this may help his joints a lot. I know the owner drinks it herself because she had a broken back at one point. kibble doesn’t even compare to Answers Pet food look it up… you hare having colitis because your dog can’t eat that stuff. Change and you will be shocked at how fast she will get better. I have seen this over and over with so many dogs that have switched to this food
Hi, All kibble even 5 star is limited as to really good nutrition because it is PROCESSED. I feed Answers Pet Food ( look it up on the advisor and you will see there are NO red words).

I have a pittie that would not tolerate kibble ( and the more I know about any kibble the more I understand why). Lucy was vomiting blood and had blood in stooles. She also had very bad gas. I talked to dog nutritionists and they recommended Answers Pet food. It is raw and Lucy improved right away. No more gas, no more blood and she is thriving. the best food by far is Answers Pet food google it. It has bone and organs meats in it as it should. It is easy to give because it is in a tube of “paper” not plastic! and you just cut off what you need. It also comes with other liquids you can buy! you are right raw food will keep your dogs teeth good!!!

jane you can buy just the meat. It is also fermented and complete. You could also feed it some meals every week. It will do benefit even if you do it like that

this is a great question and not many people ask!! this is what I was told by a bio chemist. Give a full dose of heartworm med starting in March.. wait 3 months and give it again, wait 3 more months and give it a 3rd time and after the hard frost wait until March again. As for the stuff for ticks and fleas.. My experience is don’t use it. I am a professional trainer.. I saw my friend put it on his puppy and the dog got seizures. It is fairly uncommon I think but I think dogs get other sicknesses from this stuff it goes right into their nervous system. If it tells us not to touch it WHY would you give it to your dog?? It took this guy 2 years to listen to me and he stopped it and slowly his dog got much better. I would use something natural and put a lot of it on I make this up 1 cup water
2 Cups white vinegar
2 Teaspoons of a vegetable oil
2 Teaspoons, lemon or citrus oil or peppermint oil
mix it all together and use as a sprayIt works well I know that the peppermint oil keeps mice absolutely out of my barn they hate it.
Hi, don’t feed Merrick it was bought by purina and they are already messing up what once was respectable. The BEST food you can buy for your dogs, bar none, what I feed, is Answers Pet food. go to the web site and look it up. It is miraculous and I do not use that word lightly. I have always bought what I considered the best for my guys, I am a pro trainer. I have two rescue pits. Since my other pro friends have turned me on to this stuff my dogs have not looked back. For example my female, Lucy throw up and pooped blood, I started on this stuff and WOW what a difference! Also she had terrible terrible gas. there is no gas now. Now I understand that gas means that the gut is not digesting the food well. I could go on and on! I advise all my clients and I will do the same for you . this is REAL food. processed food can not be good. No kibble can really be good. canned food is cooked in the cans and it leaches metal.. buy raw buy this raw. And the dog love it. My make, CLEVe carries his bowl around with him after he eats it now!!

This is another reason why kibble is not good.. real food has abaout 70% water as nature intended.!!!
Kibble HAS TO ADD vitamins because everything is cooked and processed out of it! Then they add sythetic vitamins and research has shown that long term this is not good for dogs. Persoanlly I use ANSWERS PET FOOD. Will never use anything else. it comes in three meats, it is raw, fermented and outstanding. Take a look at it!
diarrhea could mean that the bacteria in his gut is messed up you have to go easy and slow with a puppy especially. I have used Horiaon Legacy and it was good. However I have switched FOREVER to Answers Pet food… It is raw, fermented. The problem with kibble is that all the good stuff is cooked out of it at a high temp and them synthetic vitamins are put in , long term the synthetic vitamins, according to the nutritional scientists is that it is not good. Try Answers you will love it and your dog will THRIVE on it!

what I forgot to say is that when I changed foods the gas stopped completely. I now think that when a dog has any gas it is because the food is not digesting well and not good for them
I am an experienced dog trainer meaning that I have a lot of different experience with dog food. My little pittie had very bad gas and couldn’t keep anything down.. and had diarrhea. I switched to Answers Pet food and the diarrhea stopped the gas stopped and my dog is so much better. I can not recommend this food more. I bought very expensive 5 star food, kibble, and this new food changed both my dogs! Check it out answerspetfood.com it is extraordinary. I would NEVER feed kibble again… too processed.

Have you tried ANSWERS Pet Food? look it up… it is all fermented and GREAT for dogs that have stomach issues… My little Pittie, Lucy was throwing up blood and pooping blood, I changed over to this food and she doesn’t even have gas anymore!! I was told that gas really is not a good. It means the food is not good.. I don’t mean spoiled, I mean not quality. Answers is raw.. I LOVE LOVE it ans would never use anything else. ElaineI hope you have done the research and know that you can NOT feed Pacific salmon… Also if you are trying to really make the food better.. why not get rid of kibble. Kibble is cooked so much there is nothing left in it… except the profit for the dog food companies.. Check out answerspetfood.com… it is really a great raw food. with fermented items.

Hi Dave, as a trainer with years of experience and having talked to many dog nutrionalist, personally I wouldn’t recommend anything else but Answers Pet food. You can find it in review at dogfoodadvisor.com… so you can understand this exceptional raw food. Personally, I wouldn’t feed any kibble to any dog… too processed all the goodness is cooked out of it.. and the synthetic vitamins and minarels they have to add back in have proven, long term, to be more harm than good. I PROMISE you, once you start this food you will be telling people about it like I do… I have two Pits and it changed their lives… as any good raw food would… But this one is fermented… there is the difference!!!
Answers Pet food is wonderful even if you do not have those allergies… it has nothing in it that you mentioned. It is a very high quality raw dog food.
