Stephanie WParticipant
Hey all,
I need suggestions for any food that has been found to be relatively low in sodium that is NOT kibble.
My almost 10 year old miniature pinscher/Chihuahua was diagnosed with stage B1 heart disease about 3 years ago.
He’s been on a home cooked diet formulated for him by a canine nutritionist to meet the clinical guidelines for heart disease, along with supplements and been holding steady and doing well.
He was on home cooked most of his life before that as well.I have depression/anxiety, multi autoimmune conditions, got laid off work at the end of October and am in the middle of waiting for the house I live in to sell, dealing with showings etc.
I simply cannot afford or handle cooking for him right now.
But I need to know he’s not getting too much sodium.I’ve been researching all day and anything I find is kibble or not available anymore.
I need help please-he will not eat kibble, and I also prefer him to have food with moisture in it.
So canned, cooked, frozen, freeze dried etc options would be awesome.
He gets yeast overgrowth frequently, so i try to avoid white potatoes.Thank you in advance to anyone who can help!
Totally losing it over here 😅 -
