A breeder I’m considering has a caution on using protein levels above 28% saying they can be detrimental and also makes the statement that high protein levels can affect scenting ability. Anyone heard of these opinions? Research on protein levels?
elaine cMembercheck out answers pet food some of the best if not the best on the market. Do know that it depends on The QUALITY of the protein and what you dog does! If he hunts he needs good calories!!
Christine WMemberInteresting!
MickMemberSo far this the only research info I’ve come up with on this subject How it translates to affecting bird dogs I can’t say.
