May 24, 2015 at 6:50 am in reply to: Darwin's raw pet food (and an introduction) #73034 Report Abusepatvl246Participantpatvl246Participant
My 240 pound English Mastiff seems to love the food, thanks again Margaret.
Patpatvl246ParticipantThanks for posting on TQDF Margaret, I’ve have been feeding my English Mastiff their product for about 5 months now. In the past I’ve used Darwins and Hare Today, but the shipping charges were getting out of hand. My dog seems to enjoy TQDF, the price is much better, I just didn’t have any feed back on the company or the product, so thanks
patvl246ParticipantSorry for not posting the name of the company.
“Top Quality Dog Food” is the companies name. Thanks allpatvl246ParticipantThanks Becca, good to know they also have food with bone.
Cyndi, I really like Hare Today, my dog loves their food and I’ve never had any problems, just hoping to save a few bucks now and then
patvl246ParticipantHi Cyndi, I use Hare Today also, but check the pricing at topqualitydogfood.com you’ll see quite a difference. Food bill for my Mastiff is better than $350 a month, so I’m looking to save whenever possible. MyPetCarnivore shipping charges are pretty steep to New Jersey.
Give it a try, check the prices and selection at TQDFpatvl246ParticipantHi Becca, The only difference I’ve noticed is TQDF does not add bone to their food, I wonder if that is an issue with raw feeding. Also, I always have concerns about quality and sanitary handling of the food. You’ve never had any issues with TQDF?
Thanks again for your help. Patpatvl246ParticipantHey Becca, Just wanted you to know, I did some comparison price shopping and TCDF came out much better than the suppliers I’ve been using. I’m definitely going to give them a try with my next order. Thanks so much for the information. Pat
patvl246ParticipantThanks Becca, I’ll sure give it a try
patvl246ParticipantThanks again Marie, I’m sure I’ll still be ordering from Hare Today as well. Her prices on tripe (something my dog loves) are better than My Pet Carnivore. Well her shipping charges are more reasonable. Still an average of $50 on my orders, so Reel was a nice surprise.
patvl246ParticipantHi Dane Mom, I couldn’t believe it, when they stated up to 40 pounds shipped free, but every bit of savings helps. InkedMarie is the one to thank for sharing the reelrawdog.com site
patvl246ParticipantYour right, I just went on the MPC site to get an idea of price, and 30 pounds of food had a $57 shipping charge.
patvl246ParticipantThanks Dane Mom, I’ve heard of My Pet Carnivore, but haven’t bought their product yet. I’m going to give their tripe a try, my EM loves tripe and doesn’t really care that the smell makes me want to vomit. I just ordered from reelrawdog.com (recommended by InkedMarie) and even though 40 pounds doesn’t last very long, they ship that amount free. Give them a try, and save a little on shipping. Thanks for the response
patvl246ParticipantThank you Marie
patvl246ParticipantHi Marie, Thank you so much for your responses. Our English Mastiff loves Hare Today, I just needed a little reassurance of their product. Want to be sure he’s getting a quality food. I’m going to check out Reel Raw too, thanks again. Pat
June 3, 2014 at 1:29 pm in reply to: Recommendation for Good Joint Health Dog Food #43265 Report Abusepatvl246ParticipantMy vet said, if your going to add a supplement, go with “Cosequin DS”
patvl246ParticipantHi Marie, Is there anything you can tell me about this company. I’ve been using their raw products for about a year, on a recommendation from another user, but really don’t know much about the company. Thanks for your reply
patvl246ParticipantWould really like to know if these 2 brands are recommended,
“Darwins” and “Hare Today Gone Tomorrow” I use these raw products to feed my 240 lb English Mastiff. I want him to be safe and to eat good food. I also want to know that the more than $350 a month I’m spending on his food is a top quality food. Thankspatvl246ParticipantPugmomsandy, Thanks for your help and taking the time to respond
patvl246ParticipantThank you “Pugmomsandy” for the information. I’ll try to find the sites and “HoundDogMom” recipes. Thanks again
patvl246ParticipantWe’ve got a 230 pound English Mastiff that produces a puddle of drool the second he smells the slightest hint of food, so he only gets his chicken and turkey necks on the backyard deck
patvl246ParticipantOK, excuse my ignorance, but what does & mean
patvl246ParticipantYour pooch will love their products
patvl246ParticipantThank you so much for your feedback. Looks like a thumbs up for Hare Today, Thanks again
patvl246ParticipantThank you for your help in my decision. Sounds like a great product
patvl246ParticipantThanks so much Patty
patvl246ParticipantThanks DJ

March 10, 2013 at 7:31 pm in reply to: Natures Variety Instinct Raw Boost Question #15212 Report Abusepatvl246ParticipantThanks for the information pugmom, always interested in any info on raw food since my English Mastiff eat about 80% raw every day.

March 8, 2013 at 8:21 pm in reply to: Darwin's raw pet food (and an introduction) #15142 Report Abusepatvl246ParticipantHe’s never had mucousy stools, sorry I can’t help you there. If you log onto Darwins, I’m pretty sure they have a feeding calculator there
patvl246ParticipantI’m referring to their food. I talked to the people at Evangers, It was an honest labeling mistake.
As far as stealing electricity, I don’t know about that. I still say if your going to feed a canned dog food, Evengers would be hard to beat.patvl246ParticipantLovemylab, I should clarify, you won’t find a better “Canned” food than Evangers
patvl246Participantlovemylab, I don’t think you’ll find a better food than Evangers
March 8, 2013 at 5:28 pm in reply to: Darwin's raw pet food (and an introduction) #15131 Report Abusepatvl246ParticipantDogMom, My 210 lb English Mastiff has been eating Darwins since he was 12 weeks old. He’s 20 months now and still runs to his bowl for Darwins. I do mix in a cup of Natures Variety Instinct Raw Boost Venison and Lamb (Kibble), some green tripe and chicken from Big Dog Natural in Brick, N.J. (Dehydrated) and even some Bravo Complete. Switching things around so he doesn’t get bored. He also loves raw beef liver and raw chicken necks and backs.
patvl246ParticipantThanks for the replys, I feed my English Mastiff mostly raw with a daily cup or two of the Natures Variety Boost. He loves it, I just want to be sure of a top rating. Thanks again
