Possibly adopting a Saint Bernard mix

ParticipantHi all
My wife and I have been considering adopting a dog for quite some time. I’ve looked at and read hundreds of adoption listings and I found a saint mix at a shelter and fell in love with the beautiful girl immediately. We’re currently waiting to see if our application is accepted. In the meantime I’ve been researching the saint breed. The adoption listing doesn’t say what exactly she’s mixed with just that she’s a year old and quite shy. In my researching I’ve read that most large breeds are considered puppies up to 24 months. There’s so much conflicting info on feeding. I’m just wondering if those of you experienced with saints could give me some opinions on what to feed her if our application is approved and if what she’s mixed with would make a difference? I have no idea of what her weight or height is yet as the response email didn’t have anything except an adoption application, which seemed a bit odd to me but I’ve never dealt with adopting from a humane society before.

ParticipantThanks anonymous, that was exactly what I was looking for. I don’t know why I didn’t think of checking Reddit. I’ve browsed the skeptvet site but couldn’t get anything returned with the search function.
