MemberAny thoughts on “Milk-Bone Brushing Chews”. The ingredient list shows BHA (Used As A Preservative)? This is the last/final ingredient listed.
Should I have any concerns about BHA as I feed my 7 year old Newfoundland one Brushing Chew a day?
Thank you
EverettzcRiley
MemberBHA is used a lot because it stays stable in higher temperatures. In high doses, it has carcinogenic properties. I looked at the Milk Bones, budget friendly but terrifying ingredients. May I suggest trying Zuke’s Z-Bones grain free dental chews. My boys love the mini size, as a treat. Berry Crisp is the the best flavor. For actual teeth brushing, I use Virbac’s C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste in vanilla mint flavor.
