i know that Nulo Grain Free is still relatively new, but what a great food. I tried many of Advisor’s 5 star dry foods, before successfully finding and loving Nulo. Nulo has to be a future consideration for Editor’s Choice!!!!
Robin BMemberI rotate my picky eater with Fromm Four-Star grain free. He loves them all. In fact he tests it all and then licks the bowl. This is a dry kibble, mind you, and he licks the bowl. Ftomm is family owned and in over 100 years and five generations, never a recall. You won’t be disappointed!
Robin BMemberI had a bichon Shih tzu mix with same problem. I was able to take care of the problem by simply adding a little unfiltered apple cider vinegar to his water. I’m always looking for natural ways to take care of issues. Tearing in most cases involves the pH balance in the dog. Worth a try.
Robin BMemberAs a Wisconsin native I am partial to Fromm four star grain free. I can rotate st will and they produce all their own dry kibble. Canned food is made in SD. In the many years of manufacturing food, never a recall. Also, my puppy loves it all. Never is a kibble left behind. Take a look at their site and foods.
Robin BMemberThe biggest issue with TOTW is the fact that it’s made by Diamond. I stay away from ALL Diamond manufactured pet food! You’d be wise to do the same. Not only have they had numerous recalls, they are also a very deceptive company. Buyer beware!
Robin BMemberUnfortunately Vets don’t know that much about dog food. Most of them refer foods that they are somewhat familiar with and that they sell themselves. Recommending, selling or whatever at times means a little more money in the Vet’s pockets. I WOULDN’T feed my dog either Hill’s or Royal Canin. They are both trash foods loaded with a lot of trash…literally! There are some great foods out there. This site is very objective. Take a look and pick either a four or five star rated food. I’m sorry for your loss and good luck with your pet’s futures!
Robin BMemberI understand that just a wee bit is made by the diamond plant in Missouri. Solid gold does keep an eye on them. Wellness and several other 4 and 5 star foods are also made by diamond.
Robin BMemberI have fed only Solid Gold Just a wee bit from puppy through adult. No problems ever. Great food.
