Wow, Bill! That is a fascinating question!

I’ve heard you guys talking about this book for some time now. I’m throwing it in my amazon shopping cart right now.

Hi guys, PattyVaughn was wanting to get a message to Weimlove. Patty is having trouble posting in the forum so I’m hoping this message reaches you on her behalf.

My posts are disappearing on the forum right now and there is a poster there, Weimlove, that lives in Florida that is asking questions involving heartworm prevention and flea prevention that I would love if someone would relay info to. She is planning on going with Heartguard and there are a few dogs every year that turn up heartworm positive at the proper dose in Florida. Heartguard is losing its effectiveness, so she should discuss that with her vet too.

Hmmm…, a therapy dog could be a huge blessing for this woman. While I don’t know from where one actually acquires a dog like this, I suppose maybe the funding is possibly the challenge. If she’s seeing a therapist, which I certainly hope she is, maybe s/he could give her some direction and possibly write a prescription for one so that insurance would help cover the cost, assuming she has insurance. Every state (I suspect anyway as mine does) probably has a Victim’s of Violent Crimes Compensation Fund; maybe she could contact them for assistance in the event she doesn’t have health coverage.

Hey Marie, You could always refuse delivery of the doggie food.com order.

    Hi clm86,

What about Nutrisurce Super Performance: http://www.nutrisourcedogfood.com/nutrisource/products/super_performance. It has 529 kcal per cup.

Hi Sandy, I had contemplated flushing, but envisioned myself stumbling through the kitchen on the way to the bathroom and well, you know… ; )

And hi Patty, so you leave the bag open, hmmm. I might try that. My only problem is that since the time change, I’m never home before dark (leaving very little time for pooper scoopering ~ primarily Saturday and Sunday when I do a major poop patrol) and I have very little time in the morning as I’m have to get both of us and the dogs ready to head out the door by 7:15.

I’m hoping we get a good snowfall soon and I don’t have to worry about it at all for a while! ; )

I was talking to my daughter about our tree dilemma on the way to school this morning. It sounds like we’ve decided to go ahead and put up ye old plastic greenery, with very few ornaments.

Last year, my pretty tree seemed to have an issue in that one of the plugs was corroded and “Section B” wouldn’t light at all. So, I decided that this year would have to be the last year for this tree anyway. I have to have to gate off the living room, but suspect that’s what we’ll end up doing anyway… at least the majority of the time.

Question for Shawna, tell me more about the cotton balls and cream!? I know you said if it’s they eat something glass… so is it basically to coat their stomach and attach to the glass so that the shards pass through?

Toxed, agreed… our tree isn’t up yet and won’t be for long. But, you’re infinitely more disciplined with your dog training than I am! Remember, your dogs deliver the cardboard TP roll to the kindling basket, pick up their toys and put them away, etc… and that’s just to start. ; )

    Hi Bill,

I’ll be curious to hear what others say about this, too.

I had done a little research on Canidae and was of the impression that ALL of their products were now manufactured at the Ethos plant. I was really interested in adding Canidae Pure into our rotation. I was really bummed when someone here recently posted that some Canidae is still manufactured by Diamond. The horror! I sent Canidae an email and asked if they continued to use Diamond at all and am waiting for a response from them.

So, I have no answer to your question but will be very eager to hear what others think because as far as I know the QC at basically all Diamond facilities is bordering on horrendous. Even if the Candiae Pure is manufactured at Ethos, I will likely not use it because I’d rather not use a product that is still, in any way, supportive of Diamond; unless someone can convince me that Diamond really isn’t that bad after all. Har har…

    Good Question! : )

Hi Brad, Those are fun pictures! I especially love the one that’s a close-up of your pup’s face and her head looks great big and her body, tiny. Glad you’re here!

I was trying to do it on the iPad. It’s much easier on the laptop. Mine’s working now, too. : )

For some reason, all the pics that I would like to use are rotated the wrong direction and cropping doesn’t give yu the option to rotate the picture. Looks like I’llhave to use my daughter’s cute picture with Sam. It’s only fair, Katie and the dogs are the good looking ones in the family.
