It’s here!!! I have about 60 pounds of food to go through yet before I can try the dogs on this (provided the expiration date is that far off. I should check that…. lol), but I’m super excited 😀 The bag isn’t as big as I thought it would be, though LOL I was imagining like one of those beastly bags of like Ol’ Roy or something. Nope! It’s not any bigger than a 30 pound bag of food (but it sure does weigh more!!) lol

The dogs are both eating lamb right now, so they’ll be getting a good rotation going lol Well, technically Haley is still on chicken (Wellness CORE), but she’s got just enough left that I can add in the Nutro Natural Choice Puppy Lamb and Rice under it, and then she’ll be on lamb. They’re basically just going back and forth between chicken and lamb right now, though I did nab 15 pounds of salmon Pet Botanics last weekend. I do have plans to try them on either the bison Pure Balance, or the bison (or maybe fish??) Nutrisource next. I guess it just depends on how much money I have in the dog food fund when their food gets low. I just spent it all ($30) on 30 pounds of Pet Botanics dog food, 50 pounds of cat liter, and a few cans of cat food and a bag of cat treats (let me just say, the Blue Buffalo cat treats: kitty crack! LOL). Not bad, though! Woulda cost me close to $150 other wise, so I’d say I did good lol Wasn’t expecting to spend my dog food fund so soon (just replaced it after all that cat food I bought!), but the dogs gotta eat and I got a SUPER awesome deal on that Pet Botanics, and I hate having less than two months worth of food put away.

And I was just considering EVO and Innova again, too! I better buy it before it gets ruined, then :/

He’s doing pretty good with the harness. When I take him out though, he eats a bunch of grass and then doesn’t really eat the rest of the day. I’m sure a combination of heat, and the grass eating and the stress of being confined to the leash, but it really throws off my very scientifically made up meal plan for him! Lol The other day I took him out, and he got so hot that has was panting louder than the dog. I tried running water and a small ice cube, but couldn’t get him to drink any, so I added extra-extra water to his food.

I haven’t actually rolled over top of him yet, but I wake up when I start to roll and there’s a cat there, and it’s bolting off so it doesn’t get squished lol he’s good about moving before I’m on top of him :p

I think what’s keeping him from being overly persistent about getting out is the promise of three meals a day LOL He’s gained a couple pounds since I got him.

Moms back on declawing him again. You know why? Because HER idiot ass dog can’t leave the cat alone for moe than two seconds. The cat was laying in the recliner, and Bentley jumped up and landed right on top of him. Gave the poor cat a heart attack and he tried to jump over the back of the chair to get away, and he put a teeny tiny little hole in the head rest. That stupid dog needs to be beat. Punish him for having no self control, not the cat for getting the crap scared out of him. I’d sooner keep the cat only in my room than get him declawed. It’s not going to happen and she can shove her stubborn, inhumane attitude up her nose -_-

I already do get the food and she pays. And the likely good of her having time to pick food up between estimates and permits is very slim. There’s no help needed in that department. You all are the ones that feel there is. That’s not my problem. My problem was wanting to know how Pet Botanics compared to Pure Balance. What’s available is what’s available. If he can only eat one food, then so be it. Thousands of dogs do it. Moms going to do what it is she’s going to do, and she’s not going to change it till she has to (ie, I move out). Case closed.

Bobby asked for an update, so here it is!

The cat is doing really good. He went for a while with out one of his bouts of wandering the house meowing and getting into trouble, but last night and night before he was HORRIBLE. And last night he managed to get out the front door, and we had to chase him into the neighbors yard. He got locked in the bathroom for that (not long, though, because I didn’t feel like dragging his litter box in there). Now I’m squirting him with the spray bottle for even going near the door. He can’t do that! Naughty cat….

But he’s been doing really good. Him and Bentley are getting along better. They even lay together. It’s sooooooo cute! X3 Ooh, and last night, he slept in my bed snuggled up against me :3 Until I almost rolled over him in my sleep, that is LOL He came back a few times (I only know this because I wake up every time I roll over on him XD), and then stayed in the living room once about 6:00 hit. He does bad stuff out there lol No, he probably gets up in his cat tree and watches the birds in the back yard as the sun rises.

And because of last nights incidents, mom wants everyone chipped. So eventually that’ll happen. I want to done too, but it’s a time and money thing. But it’s only $25 per chip, so it’s not too bad 🙂

For mom, yeah. Like I said, she’s not a believer in good pet foods. I don’t mind driving out to all the different pet stores around, but she doesn’t like to.

He did great on Innova Prime Red Meat (beef and lamb). The recall has made me reluctant to go back to Natura in general, but I’ve got some EVO coupons that I want to use. He did ok on the Purina One. He was on that because I was being lazy and I had so much of it lol But then all the sudden he got terrible red, itchy skin again, and then we’ve been fighting ever since to get him back to normal again. The Pure Balance is the first food since then that’s helped.

Good job! I’m actual my couponing right now lol the table is covered in coupons and I’m trying to figure out where to get the best deals :p (and when I say “covered” I MEAN covered!).

She doesn’t have the time or money for that. She works 3 hours out of town 4 days a week, and when she is home, she’s still working, and driving all over the county and surrounding counties.

Also, with the buying online note, he’s only about 8 pounds, so to get any free shipping for his food would just be ridiculous lol

The only Diamond foods down here that are sold in smaller bags are TOTW and Canidae. Pet Supermarket does have Diamond Naturals, but only the humungo bags, and they’re $40. I don’t think that food is worth a $1 a pound lol But if Diamond wasn’t so bad about recalls, I’d have Bentley on his TOTW High Prairie Puppy every now and then. He loved that stuff.

Mom used to feed my dogs on dog chow, but I’ve since taken over now that I can afford it. Been a few years now, and they never skip meals, and look much better. In fact, Haley hasn’t had a hot spot since. She usually chewed herself up out of boredom, but I’m sure some of it was food related.

As far as any boutiques go, there are none locally. There are some if you drive all the way out past PetSmart (a 15 or so minute drive) or in the opposite direction (a 30 minute drive). Not much around my city. Lots of places for people to eat, but not for pets lol

Moms always like “why can’t have normal food??” (Meaning, whatever the other dogs are eating, or something from the grocery store). I tell her that’s what she gets for having a dog with allergies. (I’m the one who bought him for her LOL).

It’s not me we have to worry about when it comes to buying, it’s mom. It’s her dog and I’m done paying for his food when I have nearly 200 pounds of my own dogs to feed (and a dozen and half other animals), as well as pay bills and such on less than $200 a week. I actually just bought my guys some super performance off of petflow because I got a good deal on it ($50 for the 40 lb bag!). I have no problems with driving 20 minutes out and going to 3 different pet stores to get the best deals on dog food, but mom has given me a strict limit of Pet Supermarket and Walmart when it comes to Bentleys food, for the sake of her busy schedule. I pick it out, she pays for it. She’s the kind of person that thinks Science Diet is super awesome food and Dog Chow is acceptable. Bleh….! However, I find much better deals locally with coupons than I do online. I find it’s much cheaper to buy crap-tons of small bags that are on sale with coupons than it is to buy large bags.

I did have her buy some local-ish honey from the farmers market the other day. It’s made about 45 minutes north of us, but hopefully it’ll help. I haven’t started him on it yet.

I live in the land of Ol’ Roy and Purina Dog Chow. There’s really not much available locally that my mom is going to deal with. Pet Supermarket and Walmart, that’s all we got (that mom will shop at). Pet Supermarket has the crappiest selection of food I’ve ever seen for dogs with allergies. Everything is either chicken, has chicken, is crazy low in protein, or is all carbs. Or it’s chocked full of potatoes, which irritates the crap out of me. And then Walmart is…. Well, Walmart. Pet Supermarket does have Instinct, which Bentley likes, but it’s not always an option given the price. It also didn’t seem to help him at all, but we tried the beef.

This is the first time he’s ever been on a food with peas until now, so I doubt that’s a problem.

Oh, I didn’t realize the lamb had chicken. Must have missed that! I don’t think he has a problem with chicken fat, though. And if he does, the other dogs will eat the food no problems. I just hate for him to only be able to have one food, you know? I do want to at least see how he does on the new bison Pure Balance, as well.

He’s been on just about every food I can find around here, with all different proteins, and various grains and carbohydrate sources. I don’t think its so much a chicken and grain allergy as it is a pollen allergy (I’m sure he’s got a little bit of a chicken/grain intolerance, but I think he’s got more of an environmental allergy). He got much better over winter (and he was on Purina One most of the time then), and then when it started warming up and the grass grew back and crap started blooming, he got itchy again. He used to hate fish, so I never fed him anything with fish, but he seems to really like this Pure Balance, so he’s either gotten over it, or he just doesn’t like certain fishes… But anyways, I had mom try him on it because I thought the fish base would help his skin out, and it certainly has. And since he doesn’t like fish, I haven’t subjected him to any fish oil lol

Aw, poor guy! I’m glad the rest have done good on it, though. My big guys seem to do good on anything, as long as its not all filler, then Haley drops weight. She can’t handle lower quality foods anymore (which is perfectly fine, because they’ll never be on any as long as I’m in charge of their food).

It sucks that this food is $60 for the 40 pound bag locally. Its the same price to feed the grain free ones if I did that ($45-50 for the 30 pound bags). The lazy person in me wants to just go through all the NS flavors, but the cheapskate in me wants to continue couponing for good deals on everything, at least when I can. Then the person in me that goes to school and works almost full time just to pay for it says “you ain’t got no time for coupons!!” LOL But whatever. It was a good deal and I’ve been wanting to try the dogs on it lol

I’ve got a Jack Russell/Maltese mix with various food and seasonal allergies. I’ve tried just about every food on the market around here (most of the Innova’s, all the Wellness CORE’s, all the Rachael Ray Nutrish, Nature’s Variety Instinct Beef, and several other random brands with different types of proteins, with and with out different grains), and all he’s done good on were Innova Prime Beef and Lamb, and now, since I’m reluctant to go back to them since the recall, Pure Balance Grain Free Salmon and Pea.

I’m really surprised at how well he is doing on the PB. And its only $16 for 11 pounds (or $6 or $8 for 4 pounds?). His fur is growing back, and he’s itching less. My next step is to try some local honey for his seasonal allergies, and I’d also like to try the new bison flavor PB. I do also want to try him on EVO (despite the recall crap) because I’ve got some coupons and he did so well on the Innova Prime before it was recalled. They’re pretty much the same, just the EVO has much more protein. He really likes red meats. I think he was a wolf in his past life, taking down a rancher’s cattle LOL

Oh boy, you asked for it!

I live in an in between area of Florida. We aren’t South, we aren’t Central. We’re kind west-ish, if you don’t count the Panhandle being more wester (shut up, its a word!). Just about 15 from the nearest coast, and lots of water ways running through. Of course the whole place has been ruined by development because its a popular place for all the dang snow birds to come and hand out/retire to, but if you drive far enough, there are private ranches, houses on acreage, and state parks.

I’ve got quite the zoo going.

    Dogs and Cats:
-Haley: 11 year old lab/golden retriever mix
-Dweezle: 10 year old rotti/australian shepherd mix
-Bentley: 1.5 year old Jack Russell/maltese mix (not actually mine– he’s moms)
-Kitty (AKA Gary): ~1 year old, picked up as a stray. Looks like a Main coon mix.

    Reptiles:
-Rex: 4 year old Mali Uromastyx, currently about 9 inches, and still growing (Google it!)
-Amelia: 3 year old Dreamsicle Leopard Gecko, fully grown at 9 1/4 inches
-Rowan: 2 year old Snow Leopard Gecko, fully grown at 8 1/2 inches
-Raven: 1 year old Giant Hypo Tangerine Leopard Gecko, still growing at about 10 inches

    Fish:
    -150 gallon pond:
    ~~Feebas: 10 inch common goldfish
    ~~Spotty: 5 inch Common Goldfish
    ~~Changey: 4 inch Comet Goldfish
~~(No name): 6 inch Shubunkin Goldfish

    -125 gallon pond:
~~Bruce (Wayne): 9 inch Fantail Goldfish
    ~~Optimus (Prime): 5 inch Ryukin/Fantail/Oranda mix Goldfish
~~Luna: 7 inch Black Moor Goldfish
    ~~Milotic: 8 inch Shubunkin Goldfish
~~Gimpy: 5 inch Comet Goldfish (missing dorsal fin)
****(Milotic will be joining Feebas and the other single tailed goldies in time. He’s just hard to catch LOL But everyone is small enough now where it the number of fish isn’t a problem)****

    -50 gallon fish tank:
    ~~Pudge: 5 inch Oranda goldfish
    ~~Hans: 3 inch Fantain Goldfish
~~”The Telescope”: 8 inch Telescope Goldfish (missing an eye)
~~(no name yet): 3 inch Ranchu goldfish
    ~~3x Platies (1 male, 2 female)
~~3x Florida Swamp Darters (very cool little guys!)
~~1x Goldspot Sailfin Pleco, currently about 6 inches (still about 4 more to go!)
****(NOTE: This tank is horribly overstocked, but I have a certain look in mind, and am growing the goldfish out before weeding them out to just 2 or 3– unless I get a larger tank in the future. All goldfish lengths also include the tail, so they aren’t actually *that* big. Its also very over filtered.)****

    -30 gallon:
    ~~10x Neon Tetras
    ~~3x Guppies (1 male, 2 female)
~~1x Longfinned Albino Bristlenose Pleco, male
    ~~1x Albino Bristlenose Pleco, female
    ~~3x Florida Swamp Darters
    ~~1x German Blue Ram, male

    -6 gallon bowfront #1:
~~Ume (“oo-may”): Male purple veiltail betta
    ~~Astro: male blue veiltail betta

    -6 gallon bowfront #2:
~~Kai (“ky”): male red and black delta tail betta
~~(no name): male “black orchid” dragon scale delta tail betta

I’ve also had rabbits, chickens, hermit crabs, numerous other kinds of fish… I’m sure I’m leaving something out LOL

I *can* get monthly doses, but not at this vet. Our other vet does. This vet doesn’t do enough business to sell individual doses. He has one exam room, and two techs. Our other vet has like 5 exam rooms, 2 vets, 5 or 6 techs, office staff, groomers, and they are always busy. Not to mention, its likes 20 minutes away in a direction we never go lol We only use them for when we need to use CareCredit, on big things. I’d rather go right down the street to the people we know best, and pay a little extra. We’ve been going there for like 15 years, and they know us. Plus, I don’t like how the other office has multiple vets. They both have very different views, and one doesn’t speak very good english (I think he’s from India? Not that I care, I just like to know what people are saying, especially when I’m forking out a bunch of money to them lol)

Elanco does offer rebates, yes. $10 for 6 month boxes, and $25 for yearly boxes. I just have to get on their website and do it. The last ones took like 8 months to get back!! :O

I know they have a GF dry cat food. I never looked to see if they had the grain inclusive (Diamond made) one. Tractor Supply is too far away for me to care much lol

I did, at one point, have to pick him up off of the porch and drop him in the middle of the yard. Once he realized he could actually walk in the harness, he scooted around the front yard and ate grass, and tried to hunt an egret, and learned about fire ants, and how if you lay in their hill or in their path, they bite the crap out of you LOL Poor guy XD He is still unsure about the harness, and tries to back out of it randomly when walking around (thats pretty funny lol), but once he has it on for a few minutes, he’s ok with it, and figures out that he can actually walk around in it. He also likes to hunt the plastic piece on the Flexi Leash :p

Thats how Bentley is every second of the day. Kitty-Kitty is getting used to it, and is even starting to enjoy it, for a short time, at least. Then he gets ticked off and starts digging his claws into either side of the dogs face until he squeals. Too bad for the cat that Bentley is completely stupid and doesn’t care, and just comes back for more *rolls eyes*

Oh gosh, it is SO funny how his legs just turn into jello when I put that thing on him LOL

So we went to Goodwill today, and picked up a mesh cat harness, and a (surprisingly!) brand new break away cat flea collar– in sexy male kitty purple. I want to put him on Comfortis, but I can’t afford the $100-something it is to get him a 6 month box of it. I’ve already spent almost $300 on him with his antibiotics and neutering, and another $230 on Haley today getting her shots and Trifexis. $600 in a week and half is more than enough for me, considering I only make about $230 a week…. Had to dig into my savings AND my double secret savings AND my dog food money (good thing I’ve got about a months worth of dog food put away lol) to pay for these animals. They’re lucky they’re cute!!

Anyways, I have a video uploading of the cats first experience with his harness. I’d like to take him outside on one of the FlexiLeashes at some point, and get him some outdoor fun. He’s always trying to get out. I think he misses having the freedom to roam. But, he took having the harness put on much better than I thought he would! He’s also good about not outright scratching, which helps a lot when torturing him for his own good lol He just pushes with his paws, and uses his claws more for like traction, rather than to injure (i feel his claws, but they don’t hurt). The only time he’s ever actually gotten me was when we were playing, and I was a little too slow to get away lol The biggest problem was getting the thing over his fat head LOL I didn’t think it would fit at first! Bentley came over and started picking on him, and got him to lighten up and play little bit, though, so he had a chance to have a good interaction while in the harness. So as soon as thats done, I’ll post it. Its pretty great lol

    LOL

So far we haven’t coned him yet. He’s getting a little better about always licking his incision, but I still catch him every now and then. He’s feeling better though, and jumped the baby gate to get into moms room last night (and ran around my room meowing all night). He was hunting the dogs last night too lol He doesn’t like anyone touching around his “private area” even before he was fixed (took and the vet to hold him down to check and see if he was neutered or not), so I don’t see anything that’s not in spray form working out very well LOL

    Update before bed 🙂

The poop guy doesn’t want to eat. He doesn’t seem to be having averse reactions to the whole ordeal, so hopefully he’s just not feeling good from the sedatives and meds. He did eat a few bites, but left the rest. I just packed it back up for the night in a container, and I’ll give it to him again in the morning.

He was so drugged up when I brought him home that we was curled up in his spot on the back of the couch, and he moved a bit in his sleep and fell off LOL He’s fine, though. Wasn’t too happy about getting some up like that, but he didn’t hurt himself. He’s just sort of moping about, and sleeping, otherwise.

He is really bad and licking his incision, though. I think I’ll have to send mom out for a cone of shame tomorrow. He’s pretty persistent about it, and the whole area is red and unhappy looking as it is with out him sand papering away at it. Do you think we should get him a cone?

We were having a name debate on Facebook this morning (yay for Facebook apps and boring classes LOL) and mom wants to name him Gary (you know, Gary the Snail? Spongebob?), claiming that if she has to keep a cat she doesn’t want, she can call it whatever she wants to lol They needed a name for his county license, so I just went along with it. But I still don’t like Gary. I like Gizmo or Haru. Moms other choice is Roger. Who names a cat Roger??

Anyways, he’s back home, and sleeping off his drugs. When he is awake, he’s either dazed looking, or looks like he’s plotting the worlds doom LOL When he perks up later I’ll give him some food. Everyone at the vet loves him, they all say how sweet he is 🙂 He’s licked his “boo boo” a couple times, but once you push his head away a few times, he gives up in a drugged stupor and goes to sleep lol

Iams is one of the worst foods out there, actually. And the easist way to get around canned food with fish in it is to just not buy any with fish. Huh. Imagine that. Dry food is terrible for cats because of the higher level of carbohydrates needed to bind the food together, as well as it being just that– dry. Some canned foods (like Iams) can actually be just as bad with carbs. Feeding just boiled meat is extremely imbalanced, as it doesn’t provide all of the nutrients your cat needs to stay healthy. Now, if you were to add supplements yourself, then that would actually be better than any commercial diet, but you would first have to know how much of what nutrients to add, and they can be costly.

I still don’t know if I’m keeping him or not. Mom is giving him a month. He’s growing on her, though! You can’t not love him lol He does make a really bad ferral cat, doesn’t he? :p He loves to chase though. Bentley ate his first stringy toy, so I had to buy him a new one, and it’s got a mouse on the end. Omg I can get him going with that thing! But he would much rather be fed than work for his food, that’s for sure LOL My friend was feeding a few times a week since she found him, so I’m sure that’s how he managed. But when there’s a frog on the window, the whole neighborhood knows XD

Eagle pack and Wellness…? Huh. We don’t get Eagle pack here (PetCo is supposed to have it but they don’t). What’s the Sheba coupon for? B10 G2? Those are the ones I found a few weeks ago. If they have more I may nab them :p

For the dogs canned food, I honestly just get what’s cheap. The Pedigree was free (3 big cans), the Purina One was on clearance at PetSmart for 70 cents each, and I have coupons for $1 off 3 cans, the alpo was 94 cents after BOGO sale and coupons (I got like 10 cans of that), the pro plan was free lol Haley needs canned mixed in her dry or she can’t eat very well, and gets upset tummy. I split a can between Haley and Dweezle, it’s not a big part of their diet, so I don’t worry about it too much. If they ate more of it, I’d be looking for better ones, but I figure it doesn’t hurt. They grew up on all the nasty stuff, as it is lol

How much are you givng for the garlic? I’d imagine it keeps mosquitoes away, too? Flea and heartworm prevention is sooooo expensive!

Oh, and expect some good stories of drugged kitty tomorrow LOL The vey said no food after 8 and no water after midnight. I don’t get off work till 8 anyways, so I gave him a big can of wellness, and that’s all he gets! He doesn’t drink, but I’ll take up the water dishes anyways.

He’s approached me several times again tonight! He tends to hang around for a minute or two, then go off a short distance (like the back of the couch behind my head), and keep “guard” or watch the dog. He’s also hitting off a bit better with Bentley. He likes the dog from a distance best (hey, even I don’t blame him for that LOL), but tonight the cat was starting games with him. Annoying games. Like, flat-out-sprint-across-the-house-and-see-if-the-dog-can-catch-him games. Omg I was ready to kill them both LOL

Anyways, I made room in the dog food cabinet for all this cat food. Before I started, I pulled out two bags of food to make room for the cans, went into the kitchen for a minute, and came back out to this…

I guess the dogs have a new item on their menu LOL

Anyways, I sorted out all the cat food so that he gets Friskies Special Diet every other day to every two days. There’s too many to spread it out more than that, but it should be ok, I think. Here’s my stash:

    http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/xx294/Akari53/5040055C-2DCF-4C23-B06C-15605A8EA106_zpshzqnomrz.jpg

That can of Pedigree (sshhhhhhhhh), that’s it. Everything behind that is cat food. I could have stacked more, but I was trying to keep daily portions as separate as possible. This cat is set for a while, that’s for sure! Lol

Purina One Beyond gets 3.5 starts as does the Pro Plan Selects Natural Chicken and Brown Rice. For the price, I’d have them go for the One Beyond. Sam’s Club actually sells the huge bag (34 pounds?) for like 30 bucks. Pro Plan runs about $50 for 30 pounds, if I recall correctly? Plus Pro Plan uses animal digest. That stuff weirds me out. lol

Give it a try! The lamb has more calories, than the chicken, if thats something you’re looking for. I’ve got Bentley on Pure Balance right now, the grain free one, and he’s doing good on that one, as well.

I’m trying to teach the cat to seek out attention, rather than run around the house causing trouble. This is the first time he’s ever come over to me looking for attention. He’s walked past to get a little rub on his way through, but he’s never stuck and round and asked for pets. I noticed he’s got a bump on the side of his neck that much be really itchy because he sure was happy to get it scratched! I don’t know if its a bug bite (I’ll be putting him on Comfortis when we go to the vet thursday), or a boo boo from Bentley always chewing on him trying to get him to play. I keep telling that dog that the cat’s gunna eat him lol

Oh I know. I bothers the hell out of me how everyone is like “Oooooooh Pro Plan is so great, Pro Plan is this, Pro Plan is that, Pro Plan was fed to last 8 Westminster Kennel Club best in show winners, blah blah blah!” *Bashes face against wall*

Yeah, their line is huge. PetSmart has like an entire half of an isle for just their dog line. The cat line isn’t so big, but thats ok with me lol

One and One Beyond are two different “brands” so to speak. One (SmartBlends– red bags for dogs, and blue for cats) are still very much corn based, while the One Beyond is the barley and rice ones (yellow bags). In case you didn’t realize :p

And as I’m sitting here typing, the cat came up on the couch and cuddled up next to me 🙂 Yay for kitty love!

I don’t feed the dogs dry pro plan unless I get a reeeeally good deal on it. It’s been about a year since that’s happened, and I don’t see that happening again anytime soon lol Even then I can still get a better deal on Wellness most of the time. Haley is at a point now where anything with too much corn causes her to drop weight. I took her off Purina One and put her back on Wellness CORE and she gained all her weight back. Then I tried Purina One Beyond because it was super cheap after coupons (10 bucks for 20+ pounds), and she was doing really well on it. We’re back to wellness again, keeping the rotation going. Thankfully she doesn’t need all grain free, because we seriously have a thing of dog food for each dog right now, and it’s mom driving crazy LOL Can’t wait for the the Purina One to be gone so Haley and Dweezle can be on the same food again. Also can’t wait to try Nutrisource, and a few other foods…. >=3

Anyways, back to the cat LOL I’ll be keeping an eye out for those new foods. I’m interesting in seeing what they do with that grain free one, not that I’m likely to try anything dry with him. More out of curiosity lol As for the k3, you can’t expect *that* much from Purina LOL

Oh and kitty kitty is going to get neutered Thursday! Lucky him LOL

Just thought I’d stop in and let you guys know that I just thee $2 off any 6.6 pound or larger bag of EVO dog food in the mail yesterday! Yay! They expire in June, I think, so I need to get on that, but I’m super excited to use them 😀 I’ll probably give them to mom for use for Bentley, unless they go on sale and I can get the 13.2 pound (or whatever size they are) bags for a good price for the big dogs.

I feed the dogs canned pro plan, too. They eat anything, eatable or not LOL Haley can’t handle straight dry food, so I mix with canned. PetCo puts out free prop plan can coupons every so often, so I stock up on them.

I’d love to see those when you’re done! I’d be perfect to go along with mine :p PetSmart currently has the Pro Plan on sale. I can’t remember for how much exactly, but it’s pretty cheap! I want to say like 69 cents a can, or something…? I dunno lol The only one of the Purina One I’d use regularly is the Healthy Metabolism. It actually looks pretty good. Are there any coupons for the Pro plan right now? I know there’s a $1 off 6 for Prurina One right now. I managed to snag THREE of those coupons online LOL

Thanks for clearing that up. I did read about a quarter of the way into the thread, but it just got so off track that I gave up after a while. I could have over looked it, or just not have made it that far.

I see you have a fancy new website now :p

I have some coupons they sent me last year that are good for a long time to go along with Publix (local grocery store) coupons for the food, and the coupons I printed off the website. The only way to get around the print limit is tweaking some of the info you put in, and printing from another computer. They track you with your info AND your IP address. I hope the new flavor hits Publix soon (and that it goes on sale for the store coupons!).

I’m working on my cat food list! I’m just going down the brands that PetSmart has listed on the side, one brand at a time. Rather than picking and choosing only whats low in carbs, I’m going to just go through, make note of the percentage of carbs in each food, and if it has fish or not.

I already printed the coupons. I saw the sample when the coupons were put up (I get emails), but didn’t have a chance to get on there and print them until today. The site says to keep checking back, so I guess thats what I’ll do lol What coupon comes on the sample? $4 off?

Eh, not really lol It’s a minor addition to my daily pet care routine: feed dogs, feed reptiles, clean reptile tanks as needed, make sure wet hides for the geckos are kept wet, feed goldfish tank, feed betta tanks, feed community tank, feed ponds, clean fish tanks weekly, replant any plants the goldfish tore up (little brats)… Its endless, really. If anything it’s more annoying trying to prepare his food with him always underfoot, trying to “help” LOL

I’ve heard such mixed things about toilet training cats. I think he could do it, though. He’s pretty smart (completely retarded at time, though, but thats beside the point :p)

Mom left the iPad here this week, so I have internet while she’s out of town (rather than just on my phone). I can get cracking on my list sooner now 🙂 Gotta finish homework, take a potty break (should probably do that the other way around LOL), and then I’ll get going on that. I also have some Rachael Ray food coupons I want to print while I’m printing homework stuff. The iPad is on an unlimited data plan. Muahahahahahaha!!! >=3

His poop stinks, so there’s always an odor LOL It’s not terrible, though. Just poop smell, really, and as long as I keep it scooped, it’s fine (he poops like twice a day). He’s still licking his crotch area, but he’s peeing just fine and I haven’t seen any more blood in his pee or around the house, so for all I know, he could just be grooming himself. The vet will want to follow up when we go for shots and neutering anyways (which I’m aiming for either Tuesday or Thursday). I scoop a few times a day, usually btw.
