    I am aware that tryptophan is a precurser to serotonin and that dog foods high in protein compete with tryptophan to cross into the brain. My question is: If a dog food is high in protein – over 30% guaranteed analysis but the first ingredients is turkey does the tryptophan in turkey still produce serotonin in the brain?
