JeanneParticipant
I have an 8 year old dog mix (lab & great pyrenees). Here is a list of things that he is allergic to: venison, corn, wheat, oats, brewers yeast, alfalfa, fish mix and green peas.
For the past 6 years I have been feeding him Natural Balance Lamb and Rice. Lately, he has not been eating all of his kibble, no matter what I add to it. Is there another brand of dog food that he can eat?Elaine CParticipantI always recommend the honest kitchen. They will make a custom food for you if needed. I live their no grain dog food. You can get it with meat or without to add your own to. They may have dry food alsi, I’m not sure. I don’t and wouldn’t feed dry.
anonymousMemberWhat type of allergy testing have you had done? I may be inclined to visit a veterinary dermatologist for a consult, before assuming that the food has anything to do with his symptoms?
Has he had a senior workup? Lab work? I would start there. What are his symptoms?Per the search engine here: /forums/search/allergies/
lora pMemberI guess, it is better to have him tested for allergies.
