MemberOne of my beagles has beef allergy. The last two years, I have been testing and searching for a dry kibble that won’t make his stomach so loud and gassy in the morning where he wants grass and will vomit. He will eat boiled chicken but I need a limited ingredient, sensitive stomach food. He’s been on Eukanoba Response FP (just disliked after ten years), TOW venison, Acana fish, Fromms fish, Blue Wilderness salmon, Earthborn lamb, Blue Wilderness Chicken SENIOR. He likes chicken and lamb. Problem is the gurgling and he won’t eat in the morning. He throws a few times a week. I hear his tummy across the room. Blood test good, stool test good. HELP!! ,

MemberSimilar issues for years. Within the last month, I changed my beagle’s food 4 times. ugh!
He gets ear infections….
Finally, I started him on Earthborn Hollistic Lamb and he loves it.
He’s not turning his nose up at it and no vomiting. He was on fish and potato, salmon and sweet potato, duck…
This is the only food that he is again running to!
Good luck.mogavero1955
MemberFor an all over rash, I’d head to the vet. Chicken isnt’ new to him but something is causing it. That’s where the vet will help.

MemberHi Kayley, first of all, check the dog’s nails. My mini beagle bites her nails…when it is time for a cut. 🙂 If it is itchy, it probably is allergies. My other beagle has allergies and always gets ear infections. We have changed foods so often. Response FP, taste of the wild salmon, arcana fish, blue buffalo salmon, fromms duck and now earthborn lamb. The last four just the last two weeks! I noticed his ear infected tonight. The lamb I started yesterday. So, my advice is trial and error. I had heard Fromms was good but so are many others. I would recommend grain free. Good luck!

MemberElisa, I have two beagles. The larger one has the same problem. He is 10 though.
His food is changed often due to allergies but is now on Fromm’s duck. It’s not that though.
He’s had this for a couple of months. I hear his tummy all night. It sounds like
springs….I always do grain free.
I just think he doesn’t chew but I’m not sure. Hope someone willknow.mogavero1955
MemberSimilar situation. It will go on and on. I did Response FP (fish and potato) for 8 years. Dog was fine until he got sick of it and wouldn’t eat. I went to Taste of the Wild Venison and Bison which he loved for ONE year. 🙁 I then switched to Blue Wilderness salmon and potato for a month then he turned his nose at it so now we are trying Fromm Duck. He can’t have beef and it all must be grain free. If you want venison, try Taste of the Wild. Blue Wilderness salmon is good and well tolerated by most. Good luck!
