MemberIām now confused. I thought the whole point of this thread is that large/giant breed dogs do not require large breed puppy food. If you look on page 36 of this thread, HoundDogMom has provided a list of all the dog foods that are appropriate for large breed puppies. You DO NOT need to give large breed puppy food, all you need is the correct calcium:phos ratio.
Iām also confused bc I donāt see Canidae on that list. Are we sure Canidae has the correct ratios?

MemberThanks InkedMarie and Crazy4cats for the quick reply!
I looked through the first 20 or so pages of the thread but there are 87 pages! LOL. Anyway, if you are referring to the list compiled by HoundDogMom, yes I did see it but that list includes only grain free foods and Frommās large breed puppy is not grain free.
Would love to hear your input. And If HoundDogMom can help I would live to hear her input as well.
Belinda, I live in Denver too! Also, I want to clear something up. I believe that as long as the calcium:phos ratio is between 1.1:1 and 1.5:1 you should be fine. I donāt think it matters if itās puppy food or adult food as long as that ratio is appropriate. Do you all agree with that?
Thank you so much for all of the expertise!!
