MemberI shared the list that is a stickie on this forum (grain & potato free foods) and someone just pointed out to me that the Great Life ones have yams. When talking about potato and grainfree food, would yams be considered a potato?
Hound Dog Mom
ParticipantHi Marie –
Yams would not be considered a white potato. Yams and sweet potatoes are very similar – but not the same. In the United States and Canada the terms “yams” and “sweet potatoes” are often used interchangeably. Yams have about the same glycemic index as sweet potatoes.

MemberHDM: so, I should leave the sticky as it is and not remove the Great Life foods?
Hound Dog Mom
ParticipantYes, Great Life foods don’t contain any white potato.
