Hi Sam…this may or may not help, but I saw on Etsy.com that someone is making harnesses to order….maybe you can find that site and the person might be able to suggest some fabric better suited to your pup’s skin. Good luck

Kayla, I have a 9 mo old Havanese and I make most of his food….boiling chicken in several cups of h2o and adding brown rice, a healthy cereal of some kind (Grape Nuts, Special K) and cans of cut of green beans and carrots…also add can of cream of mushroom or chicken soup (low salt)…I make sure everything is mushed together. He’s been on this and small amount of kibble most of the 6 months I’ve had him. Found out early that just kibble gave him the runs and he just wasn’t eating enough to have any energy. He now is healthy and active most of the day…. sleeps like a baby at night and poops that are “healthy” and easy to take care of…. I have used fresh veggies, but find that he really doesn’t eat unless mushy, thus canned stuff….

Hi, Karen. My pup, Charlie, is almost 6 months and 8#’s – got him from shelter at 3 months where he had been in large cube thing where he peed, pooped and ate in about 3′ sq area…yuck. Anyway I put him in small 18″ kennel when I brought him home (and wasn’t actually playing/handling him) and took him to pee pads every 20-30 minutes…he did really well! after 1st week or so I extended kennel times longer and longer (and ‘out’ paly times longer as well)…he’s had a few accidents, but hardly ever misses. Added benefit, until I am ready to ‘let him loose’ he sleeps and stays in kennel when I leave the house. Point being, he isn’t too old to restart on kennel concept. Good luck.

Hi. I’m new to this forum…love topics and advice I’ve read so far. Got a new 4# puppy 5 weeks ago and am mixing canned food with kibble…I open a can of soft food and divide it into 6 small (used and washed) Gerber plastic baby food containers, add about 2 teaspoonfuls of organic pumpkin to each container and freeze. Each one lasts for 4 meals (2 days) when I mix with well with puppy kibble morning and night… he’s eating great and stools can be picked up with TP and flushed (best part)…lol. We live in apartment and he is pad trained. We’ll work on ‘the big outdoors’ when he gets a bit older….
