MemberPer Chewy’s website, Merrick contains GMO. Can this be true?
Mary L
MemberThe vast majority of dog food manufacturers use GMO ingredients. Most corn, sugar beets, soy and alfalfa grown in the US is now GMO. A very few companies are in the process of trying to get to 100% GMO free as a goal. Even companies listed here as non GMO, if you write to the manufacturer, they say they are not actually GMO free. They may protest that they only have a small percentage. I suppose that’s better than a higher percentage. You can look at foods such as Petcurean “Gather”, Organix, The Honest Kitchen among others. Anything organic is non-GMO, but non-GMO is not necessarily organic.
