ParticipantLost our chocolate lab, Ollie, last week. Probably lung cancer. From first symptom he lasted 3 days. Same exact thing happened to his sister last year. And 1 1/2 years before that, lost another sister to lymphoma. They were from the same litter, Ollie was 10, Molly 9, Angel 7. Whether it was bad genes or the food, I can’t say. We were feeding them Purina brands products. We have switched our remaining lab (their mama, 12 1/2 yrs old) to FreshPet. She seems in good health other than age related problems (arthritis, cataracts). I feel guilty for feeding them substandard food all those years. Trusted the dog food companies – big mistake. RIP Ollie, Molly and Angel.
