Oceans11Participant
After the ferrier has been out to tend to our horses’ feet, there are shavings of horse hoof around which our Coton De Tulear loves to chew. Does anyone know if this is a “safe” treat for him to chew?
theBCnutMemberIf you don’t use anything on your horses’ feet, they are safe. If you use much of anything on them, they are not.
Oceans11ParticipantThank you theBCnut for your reply. Our mustangs’ hooves are all natural.
theBCnutMemberMy dogs eat my horses’ all natural hoof trimmimgs too.
Cesar MMemberPlease explain how to make the horse hoof dish for my dog??
Oceans11ParticipantI am not aware of a dish made from horse hoofs. I give some of the trimmings of the horse’s hoof to my dog as a chew. The trimmings are what’s left after the derriĆØre trims their hooves. As someone responded to my earlier post, only offer them if there if they have not been treated with anything.
