weezerweeksParticipant
I just went to store to get some gas x in case of emergency because my yorkie has been having gas and reflug(I mentioned this under diet and health problems) I am petrified of bloat. It says gas x has sorbitol in it. I guess if he is bloating it would be better to have this than the bloat. Any comments about this?
weezerweeksParticipantAlso is it better to have elevated bowl or not with gas issues?
elleMemberSupposedly elevated bowls “can” cause bloat. But I believe the study that showed this was for large/giant breeds, not yorkies. 🙂 But even then, there are other studies that dispute this.
Regarding the gas x- call your vet and ask. I know I wouldn’t give anything to my dog with sorbitol in it.
DogFoodieMemberYou can buy also plain simethicone without sorbitol. I always have it on hand, just in case.
