Dogs bodies do not produce the enzymes necessary to break down plant matter. Plant matter has to be specially prepared by humans for dogs to get much at all out of it. If their bodies can’t handle it without human intevention, then they weren’t meant to make a diet of it. Science that tells you how to survive off of something you shouldn’t eat in the first place is ridiculous. You can survive off of protein shakes. That doesn’t make it the right diet for you. That doesn’t mean that they will give you optimal health.
