What science proves a vegetarian diet is healthier for dogs than a meat-based diet?

I’m not against dogs eating vegetables by any means, but I don’t believe they should be the bulk of a dogs diet. My dogs eat about 80% – 90% meat and 10% – 20% vegetables, fruits, nuts/seeds and dairy.
