Any kind of variation is beneficial, whether it’s daily, every couple meals, weekly or monthly or more. If it’s easier to serve meals based on calories, then I would do that. Once you get a feel for the different amounts of different foods he can eat, then you can start mixing them up. Mine get kibble sometimes for days when I don’t thaw something out!
