I bet that’s it, water soaked hay does fill them up.

Definitely good to do some routine blood work too.

What brand of hydration hay do you feed? I might have to start feeding my guy chopped hay due to no lower front teeth, loose molars, & most just worn down too, he’s in his mid thirties. Picked up a bag of chopped hay last night, but also thought maybe I should also keep a stash of hydration hay in the tack room.
