Reply To: Cat food recommendations
So I finally broke down and bought the flaked turkey Authority yesterday lol I had 4 days of cat food left (sorted into rotation, but also another 4 1/2 unsorted). I also sucked it up and paid so much more than I wanted to for Wellness. I bought 22 cans of Authority for $16 and then 20 cans of Wellness (Chicken, and Beef & Chicken) for $14, and added them all (evenly, of course!) to his rotation. So now he gets:
Authority Flaked Turkey
Wellness Beef & Chicken
Authority Flaked Turkey
Wellness Chicken
Ideal Balance Venison
Authority Flaked Turkey
Wellness Beef & Chicken
Authority Flaked Turkey
Wellness Chicken
Sheba (Beef or Chicken)
And then it starts all over again. The only variation in this is that I have an extra can of Wellness Turkey and Wellness Tuna that he’s getting tomorrow, before settling into the rotation “for real”. I’ve currently got 28 days of that rotation, so I’ll be good for a couple weeks. Hopefully a good deal pops up, because I’m just a poor college student, and I can’t afford $30 a month on cat food LOL But considering nothing was on sale, and I used only coupons, I didn’t do too bad this time around. Could have been worse! I may buy a case of Friskies Special Diet to cut the cost down over-all. I’ve got all good food for him right now, not counting three whole days (out of 29) of Sheba. I’ll just have to see how my hours at work go, and how deals are for the next few weeks. I really hope Wellness goes on sale again soon, though, and hopefully he likes the Authority so I can watch for that to go on sale as well. If you guys see any good deals around for cat food, please let me know!
