Hey Sharon J:
My standards for pet food changes daily. lol As I learn more about the manufacturing process I imagine it will continue to evolve.

by Nature actually contacted me again a few weeks ago to ask why I wouldn’t buy their products without this information. Interestingly it was just a few days before Purina v BB hit the media. This suit brings back memories of BB’s 2007 accusation that their co-packer made substitutions to their recipe without their knowledge.

I explained that I was aware some companies use co-packers, some do not, and I had no problem with this practice. The problem I have is some co-packers have an abysmal history; that is the reason I need to know. They replied that they would bring this concern to their management and would contact me with further info if they decide to change their policy.

Tripette and Halo will not disclose their co-packers either. I think C4c knows who co-packs CS canned foods. If not, if it’s important to you just contact them and see what they say. 😉
