Sue66b, I know… But doggies need more than just lots of good food and love – they need space, vetting (shots), monthly meds, spaying/neutering, and may have other special medical needs. While none are a reason I would not adopt a pet, I just cannot afford to cover those other needs at the moment – and we live in a two-bedroom apartment with a roommate and his 70-lb hound mix – there will be even less space if another doggie is added to the mix. And we definitely want to foster and adopt at least one more dog in the future, but as of now, we just cannot take on that financial responsibility. Sigh… But one day! 🙂
