Hi Akari:
I didn’t know you had to glue nail caps on. I used to do the artificial nail thing, all kinds, gel, tips etc. Nail polish remover is probably very irritating to his skin regardless if it is acetone (sp) or non acetone.

I never experienced it, but fungus also tends to grow between the glue and nail bed whenever you expose your hands to water such as hand washing and showers. I know cats don’t wash their paws but they can get moisture on their paws when they use the litter box.

Just suggesting you monitor Kitty closely to make sure they don’t hinder the natural movement of his nails or that they cause any irritation or infections to happen. 🙂
