We live about 6 miles from the beach as the crow flies, but you can’t get there from here. It’s an hour drive and not on slow back roads either. Ironically, it’s just as fast for me to go to a beach that is 40 miles away. We don’t go often either. However, we go kayaking, and we love whitewater rafting(just not in Florida).
