I noticed that peas and pea products are red lined in DFA’s analyses. They state that “red” ingredients are considered “controversial”. Then further along into the analysis of “pea fiber”, they say:

“… pea fiber, a mixture of both soluble and insoluble dietary fiber derived from pea hulls. Aside from the usual benefits of fiber, this agricultural by-product provides no other nutritional value to a dog.”

… which is interesting, but not particularly informative. I’d be interested in reading what Dr. Jean Dodds had to say. Do you have a site for me to explore?
