Reply To: Merrick Company Quality Now?
My vet made commented about kcal’s in food… suggested to keep it below 400 kcal/cup otherwise I will have to feed them less quantity per serving. Reading label, so many foods are over 400+ in kcal/cup. My pups are all healthy and have been on Wellness Core Reduced Fat for years (360 kcal/cup). One of them began turning her nose up to it… tried different flavors and she still will or will not eat it depending on the day. I tried Merrick Grain Free which she did like (smaller kibbles?) but then I researched the Purina merger and stopped feeding it to her (only ate about 4-5 days worth). Editor’s Review gives both Merrick Grain Free + Castor and Pollux Ultramix Grain Free 5 stars… just so worried about Purina. Acana + Orijin I read over and over are “the best” but seems that was when it was made in Canada. Now made in the USA oddly quality has gone down. So frustrating.
