Yeah I’ll use my checking if I need to, if I can’t find the chlorella powder nearby. But I’m sure I can with a little more searching. My Paypal account I only use for ebay business.

It’s difficult for me to order stuff online since my debit card was stolen a few weeks ago. I had to use a check for my Hare Today order and its just a long process. I rather find it nearby but if I have to I’ll buy it online.

So I can alternate it with the natures logic all-food fortifier, right? I couldn’t find the chlorella powder I believe they were in tablet or capsule form, but they did have in the pet section chlorella wafers called Rejuv-a-wafers. Have you used them before, what are your thoughts? I think they had other ingredients other than chlorella so I was unsure about them. If I can’t find the chlorella powder maybe I’ll substitute it with one of the others you mentioned after researching them a little, I’m sure they’re great.

Is there enough calcium in Preference or do I have to supplement (egg shells or bone meal)? I used it with ground beef and tripe this am and Mila loved it, and it felt awesome feeding her something that’s so good for her. šŸ™‚ About half of her meals are either RMBs or grind mixes so I wasn’t sure if that’d be enough bone for her or if its required with every meal?

I’ll probably have to do that with a bigger quantity but I was able to separate them after a few hours in the fridge. The green tripe I got today from the natural food store is from Bravo. It wasn’t too bad of a stench, sweaty gym socks is a good description. I lucked out finding it today, I have more coming from Hare Today this week. šŸ™‚

HDM- I’m trying to replicate your whole food vitamin/mineral supplement. I found everything at the natural food store except they had chlorella but not in powder form. Is wheatgrass juice powder the same as the wheatgrass powder you use? If I make this supplement minus the bee pollen I already use (granular form) and the chlorella powder, how much would I be giving her? Will that be only when I feed grind mixes?

Speaking of thawing, I have a 5 pound box of pork neck bones that have been in the freezer for a few weeks, how long do I thaw them for so that I can be able to portion it out? I took it out of the box they were in but left them in the bag and put it in the fridge.

Same name, just worded different. It’s how I wanted the other name (SanDnMila) pronounced but nobody got it. Lol I just scored some raw green tripe from the local natural food store along with some more Bravo blends. It’s a spoiling Mila day I guess. šŸ™‚

So I purchased the Nature’s Logic All-Food Fortifier yesterday and fed it to Mila with her Bravo blend burger for dinner yesterday. My cat didn’t like it so much, she could tell right away something was up with her food. lol Anyways, the directions say to add it to dry or wet food. I predominantly feed raw (whether Primal complete formulas, or the Bravo turkey blend bugers, and grinds and RMBs when I have them) but do still feed dry and canned food if I have to about once or twice a week. Should I still add the Nature’s Logic to the dry and canned as well or would a green superfood supplement, as recommended above, be better?

Wow the pics look amazing, very jealous! By boyfriend would kill me if I took up the whole freezer like that, nevermind three of them. My first Hare Today order is finally coming in this week, I have to figure out where I’ll conceal the green tripe and turkey necks. lol Looks great though guys, can’t wait to see Sandy’s pics!

I thought I read somewhere on here someone had mentioned Puritan’s Pride Green Source but not sure where. Would think product be a multi/whole food/ green supplement all in one? I had seen this at a local natural food store and remembered someone mention it in here. When should it be used (homemade raw, commercial raw, kibble/canned). How much, would it be half the adult amount? If I get Natures Logic all-food fortifier, would I use it in conjunction with Green Source or alternate with it. I’m still confused with supplementing and when to give which.

Well because Gertie has been eating raw for so long and has no issues, I think Bailey can do it too. I love Grandma Lucy’s and THK, they make great products. You can still still feed the raw ground meat with a premix, Bailey might like it.

Yeah that’s smart. That’s probably why a lot if the commercial raw companies don’t have pork, people would be worried whether it was safe to feed.

I have a 5 lb. box of pork neck bones I haven’t opened yet because I’m waiting for my Hare Today order to come in. By then it’ll be about 3 weeks since putting them in the freezer and I’ll be starting and all raw diet. I think I’ll start with the neck bones and see how she likes it. Just wanted to know what others thought of ground pork. šŸ™‚

Hare Today states on their websit that ” it is fine to referee and will not effect the quality of the products”. And that’s after shipping for a couple days, so u should be ok. I probably won’t get my first order til next week so I don’t know personally, I just got that info from their site.

Ok, thanks! Should I try a whole food supplement without brewers yeast? I’m not sure the benefit if it or if it would be bad due to her skin?

The Bravo turkey blend burger also have meat/organ/ bone and veggies but only broccoli, green beans, yams. So I was going to add Preference to that but that would throw it off so maybe just add some fruit/veggie purƩe would be best?

Yes the primal chicken mix is the only one I’ve tried so far and just got the Bravo burger blends but haven’t tried it yet. I feed commercial raw in the am and either RMBs or that mix in the pm and the kibble and canned on the weekend for dinner. I haven’t used the Preference yet, maybe return it for baby veggie puree or the whole food supplement? And again the whole food supplement can be given whether commercial and homemade raw? Should I be worried about the brewers yeast in the Nature’s Logic? Mila’s skin and coat has been damaged due to allergies, not sure if the brewers yeast will make it worse? That’s the reason why I’ve switched her to raw and adding krill, sardine, coconut oils and supplements to get food. Thanks for all the help.

I’m feeding primal mixes and I got turkey burger blends from Bravo that I haven’t tried yet. I would just be adding the multi/green superfood supplement to those right? I was thinking of adding the Preference to the Bravo burgers since there’s not really much veggies in it but that would throw it off, right? I should just add purĆ©ed veggies and the supplements?

Can I just use the one I got periodically, it’s a big bottle that I really don’t want it to go to waste. I can add the green superfood to her diet once I get it and give her less of the multi. If I feed Preference with her homemade raw which has vitamins and minerals including kelp and alfalfa do I still need a green or multi supplement? I know HDM said u can’t overdose on them, just want to make sure I know what I’m doing. She’s already been getting bee pollen and the commercial raw she’s had has coconut oil, salmon oil, and ACV so I’d just be giving those with the homemade raw, right? The dry and wet food is only one or two days a week and will be less once my Hare Today order comes in.

Bummer I thought I had gotten a good product and started giving it to her today. šŸ™ I didn’t find what I was originally looking for (spirulina powder, chlorella powder, wheat grass powder etc.). I feed mostly raw (commercial and homemade) but also kibble (NV or Orijen) and canned (wellness, weruva) when I don’t have raw. I also just got Preference to feed with grinds for the added fruits, veggies, vitamins, and minerals. So I would have to get a whole foods supplement + a multi? I also saw this at the store, it is human-grade but they had it in the pet section as well. Is it a better option? http://www.solgar.com/pub/supplement/1180.pdf. I’ll read your post on the other forum. Guess I’m still confused with all if this. Can I feed the one I got with grinds and my RMB meals and just add a whole food supplement, if I can find one?

I much rather come to this site especially since I’m new to raw feeding, you are all much more helpful. The week or 2 since reading from the raw feeding group so far I’ve read not to feed turkey necks, not to hold them when feeding them for the first time, not to feed chicken backs, and green tripe isn’t beneficial.

I also just made my first order today! (But probably won’t be getting it for awhile :() I had to get the longer turkey necks and hearts, and also green tripe. I’ve read online on the raw feeders group the tripe doesn’t really have any enzymatic benefits once it leaves the cow it comes from. Is that true, what are the benefits of tripe? I’ll be mixing it into the beef meals.

When you use a premix base in your recipes do you follow the feeding guidelines or follow a particular ratio? I’ve been looking into maybe using THK Preference and if I go by there feeding guidelines I would be feeding about 50% meat to 50% Preference. Shouldn’t be closer to 75:25?

I’ve been getting some bad reviews from the raw feeding group regarding feeding turkey necks, I’ll still feed them occasionally since Mila really liked them but I plan on making my first order soon on Hare Today or MPC and I’ll make sure to get turkey hearts as well. They’ve been hard to find locally. Thanks for the help.

When feeding pork necks, should beef hearts be added due to the pork neck being not very meaty? I read somewhere that recommended that. Being that its a big portion could i just add produce and supplement and make it a whole days meal? Also when feeding half or whole chicken, are all boned consumable? Mila I’m sure could handle it, she’s a strong chewer, but just worried about little bones. :\ Thanks!
