I received my yorkies Ph level today and it is still8.5 but there was no sign of crystals this time. About a month ago it was 8.5 with crystals so i switched him from dry low protein to a higher protein wet food. My vet says he is not concerned because he has never had uti’s, and 50 % of dogs have agalinity levels. He is on merrick’s cowboy cookout wet food. He has only been on it a few weeks so he wants me to continue this diet and not add anything to it but his digestive enzymes and probiotics and in a month he’s going to check it again and do another culture.I’m glad the crystals are gone but I’m wondering if I should try some different food.
