I just moved to San Miguel and will be running out of the dog food I brought – NOW brand. A friend recommended Diamond and I bought a small bag. My 13 year old malamute got very sick–vomiting, blood in the diarrhea, lethargy. I still don’t know why since there was no way she got into anything–I walk her on a cobblestone pathway with no plants. It occurred to me it could be the dog food and I found a number of recalls on line from 9 months ago that could have had “best buy” dates as far ahead as Jan. 2013 when I bought the product. She saw a vet and is well now, but what can I buy in Mexico that I know is safe?
