MemberHello,
I am currently just feeding my Dane puppy Nutrisource Large Breed Puppy kibble. However, I will soon be switching him to Great Life Rx Grain-Free: Buffalo. In saying that, I was thinking about adding a wet food to his kibble on occasion.
Does anyone know of any good ones for giant breed pups?
Or perhaps I’d be better off feeding ground chuck?
theBCnut
MemberTripette is a canned food for supplemental feeding only, which means it should not be your dogs only source of nutrition because it isn’t balanced. But it is balanced for calcium and phosphorus, and low in both, which is what is important for giant breeds. Its tripe, so it smells awful, but dogs LOVE it.

MemberThanks for the post.
Do you have any idea how much/often you feed it to your pup?
theBCnut
MemberI would use about 1/8-1/4 a can per meal, if I was using it, but I’m not, because I feed raw green tripe, which is really nasty stuff. One can of it replaces about 1 cup of kibble.
