ParticipantHello!
My 12-year-old pomeranian, Diablo, has had rock-hard back muscles for the past few weeks. He’s been to a vet, who determined this was likely due to some spinal arthritis. He is now taking prescription pain medication, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatories.
I read something online that suggested I may be able to help ease the arthritis by switching him to a carbohydrate-free diet (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120326171231AArn92O). What do you folks think? If you agree that this may be a helpful solution, what is a good, carb-free dog food? Also, I’m not at all opposed to making his food; however, I want to make sure I have all of his nutritional bases covered if I do so.
Thank you in advance for your help. I really love this little dude and I just want him to feel better 🙂
