ParticipantI need to buy organic, free range/naturally fed organ meat, for 2 x week. Hearts, gizzard, liver. No chicken.
Which kinds are commonly available and which would be least expensive and from where? Do I talk to the local butcher at the various grocery stores or a specialty butcher shop? Is it brought in separately or is it always on hand as leftovers?
And for the gizzard, would my only option be turkey since chicken is not an option?

ParticipantYou can find some farms near you at http://www.eatwild.com that have organic/free range products. You might also want to check out Hare-Today.
Hound Dog Mom
ParticipantYour best bet would probably be a local farm. Neither Hare Today or My Pet Carnivore sell organic meat but I’m pretty sure MPC’s meats are all free range/naturally fed, some of Hare’s are. You could also check out Blackwing (not sure if they’d have what you’re looking for but they do sell organic meats).
