ParticipantThe people I got my dog from were feeding Purina Moist & Meaty. I have tried so many high quality options from dry , wet, fresh pet, but my dog will barely touch anything except the moist & meaty. I think it’s a texture thing and possibly temperature. Is there anything with the same texture as the moist & meaty that is higher quality? Ingredients in this are beef by product, soy flour, soy grits, high fructose corn syrup. 🙁
Dogfoodguides
ParticipantI totally get it some dogs love the soft, sweet texture of Purina Moist & Meaty! 😊 You could try Freshpet, which has a similar moist texture but much better ingredients. Other good options are The Farmer’s Dog, Ollie, or Stella & Chewy’s Gently Cooked Stews — all soft, meaty, and wholesome. Try warming the food a bit to bring out the smell and make it more appealing. Transition slowly by mixing small amounts with the old food so your dog adjusts to the new taste and texture.

ParticipantI have tried fresh pet. He liked it at first but now he seems like he doesn’t. I did try warming it and he wouldn’t touch it.
