    Changing my Golden doodle’s food to a higher protein and calorie food, one that does not have foods she is allergic to. The calories & protein are higher but the Metabolizable energy is almost half. How can that be?

    I’m changing her from Nutro Pasture fed lamb & Rice dry to Sport Elite Series Venison Formula dry. My GD is allergic to chicken, beef, salmon, potatoes, G. Peas, etc. Sport is the first I have ran across of Venison without all those ingredients. She is not allergic to Venison at all, nor some of the fruits in the Sport Brand.
