ParticipantHas anyone tried Maev dog food? It looks extremely straightforward, transparent, and by my inexperienced opinion, well rounded.
Despite this, I’ve seen little unsponsored reviews of this food, which is unsettling.
Does anyone have any experience with this food? Please feel free to chime in if you haven’t but know the world of raw food.

ParticipantI’ve been using Maeve dog food for about 5 weeks now. My main complaint with them is their terrible website and the fact that it’s hard to reach someone. They offer text support but nobody ever texts back, I do get emails back but it takes usually 2 days. The food is not consistently packaged, I have to open the bag dump it in a very large bowl and mix it otherwise they’re getting layers of food. This last batch doesn’t have hardly any chicken it’s almost all beef and very rich, my dogs have thrown it up a couple of times but this could be because of how quickly they are eating it. Otherwise I have noticed increased energy and gratitude from my fur babies. I’m going to try it for another month and see how it does. Cleaning up after all of this raw food is really gross but so far I think even with all of the trouble it might be worth it. For my 14 lb and 26 lb dogs it will cost me around $2,800 a year. I’m also giving them the vitamin bars every other day. I hope this helps.

ParticipantI submitted a 40lb over $300.00 order for the Maev Beef(only) formula on 12/8 unfortunately I had to make a correction to my address which prompted the platform to default to the “Variety” formula which includes chicken. My dog happens to be allergic to chicken so on 12/9 I contacted them via email and informed them of the issue and need for correction. I received an email response that the issue would be looked into. I received no response from Maev so I contacted them again on 12/11 and I was told the order had already shipped …so looks like my request was ignored by the initial Maev representative. I will be refusing the order and contacting my bank. Maev has zero customer service, no phone number, any no desire to do right by customers …even first time customers. I am astonished a business conducts themselves in such an arrogant manner right out the gates. Don’t be fooled by the marketing this company has not social media, few reviews, and is not transparent about their formula especially the proteins and how much organ meat is utilized which in higher quantities can be toxic. AVOID. I will be going back to Darwin’s.

ParticipantI’m writing this review so others don’t get taken advantage of the way I did. I emailed the business requesting to cancel my order before it shipped and received confirmation that my email had been read. Despite that, they still went ahead and shipped the food anyway — then told me there are no returns or refunds.
It took two days for them to even respond, which is unacceptable when dealing with time-sensitive products like food. This kind of behavior feels dishonest and manipulative — purposely delaying communication so they can say it’s too late to cancel.
I would not recommend this business to anyone and hope others see this before placing an order.
