The most effective passive tool is a durable rubber toy that can be stuffed and frozen.

You fill a hollow rubber toy (like a Freezbone) with wet food, yogurt, or pumpkin, and freeze it solid.

Why it’s passive: Once you hand it over, your job is done. The dog has to lie down and methodically lick the ice to get the reward. This is naturally calming and can keep them stationary and quiet for 30–45 minutes.
