How about reviewing raw food suppliers

MemberHi All.
Lately I have been ordering more and more raw food online from the following websites such as Hare Today Gone Tomorrow and real raw dog food. Specifically I order their mixed grinds which represents a complete meal of ground organs, bones, and meat.
As silly as this sounds I always worry about what I feed my pup. I wonder if dogfoodadvisor would ever think of reviewing the meals plans that this raw food online companies provide? Sometimes I wonder if these companies do provided exactly what they state. Like how do we know that they are indeed providing organic none GMO grasss fed beef. Just because their website states doesn’t mean that what they state is truthful
InkedMarie
MemberI suppose you don’t know for 100000%. For me, I have to trust. I buy far more from Tracy at Hare & I trust her completely.
InkedMarie
MemberI emailed Tracy from Hare, she said I could quote her:
“I guess I would say you have to trust the source. I have been in business since 1999. I would not be still here if I didn’t do what I say I do.
I also am inspected with Dept of Ag and FDA comes occasionally. I do have to supply receipts and information on where I source from. There is a big check list I go through yearly with the Dept of Ag in keeping my license.
I guess if someone really wanted to the could send my product in for an analysis as well which would verify what is in it. I would have no problem with that. I am an honest person.”Cannoli
MemberThanks InkedMarie. I actually started using them after reading about the good things you wrote about them here.
Coonhound Mama
MemberI definitely wonder the same thing, but I 100% agree with InkedMarie in that I trust Tracy from Hare Today to keep things honest, down-to-earth and as all-natural as she can do. I too feed exclusively grinds from Hare Today because I am inexperienced with balancing and know it cannot be something you mess up! Even if what we’re feeding isn’t 100% grass-fed, free range, GMO-free, whatever you will, it’s always going to be better than kibble when it’s balanced correctly.
Cannoli
MemberTotally agree but due to my fears I don’t feed exclusively Hare Today. I rotate between Hare, RealRaw, and my local grocery store. Since I have never gotten sick from eating steak tartare from my local grocer I figure my dog won’t either haha.
