HeartGuard and Tick prevention for 3 day trip to Florida?

    Hi,
    This site was instrumental in helping me find just the right food for my puppy (Thanks Mike and Richard!) We moved to Issaquah, WA from Tampa and Orlando, Florida one year ago but we’re returning to Florida (departing tomorrow) for a 3 day trip to go house hunting and get back there asap. Do I need to be worried about ticks and mosquitos during a 3 day visit? She’s on Advantage (flee protection only). I’m suddenly panicked and wonder if I should purchase Heartguard and tick protection today from the vet hospital?
    A speedy response would be greatly appreciated!

    I answered you on the Brothers site, but basically I said “Don’t panic. You have until 45 days after a mosquito bite to administer heartworm prevention.”
