MemberHi everyone,
I have a five month old Havanese that was just diagnosed with MVD. We treated for 30 days with antibiotic and just had the second liver bile acids test which confirmed what the vet suspected. At least the values weren’t high enough to indicate a liver shunt, and for that I’m very grateful! She will go on a hepatic diet formula at a year old, but I’m trying to find something for her now in the meantime with a little less protein, but still a puppy formula. Is anyone out there dealing with this? I’d appreciate any suggestions you may have. I’ve been assured that we can mostly handle this with diet, but she still has a ways to go to reach that one year mark. She’s just a precious and I want to try and keep her as healthy as possible!
Many thanks for any ideas or suggestions! -
