Dog with CKD and hyperlipidemia

    My dog has just been diagnosed with CKD. The vet prescribed a renal special formulated formula for him to eat bu I now realised that on the label they say it is not advised when the dog has hyperlipidemia, which is his case. What are the risks of continuing to feed him this diet? Is there anything else he should be eating?
