It sound like a systemic yeast problem to me. High starch food feeds yeast in the gut and then it grows out of proportion to other gut flora and ends up affecting the whole dog. Getting on a diet high in animal protein, moderate fat, low carbohydrate, no grain or white potato may help. Also very important is adding pre/probiotics and digestive enzymes.
