I am very sorry for your loss.
Four of my five girls started eating Hill’s (Science Diet sister brand) by vet prescription for a kidney condition, a digestive condition and overweight. I am a vegan person. Before the prescription they were on the vegan formula by Natural Balance with no problems, according to me. I have always been suspicious about the animal ingredients in pet food. The stories I have read in this forum support my distrust. I just lost my only boy 5 weeks ago due a lung cancer. I hate to think that the food might be related. But if food is a risk factor for human cancer, why wouldn’t it be for pets.
My goal is to be able to make their food at home; a vegan home-made formula. Any advice?
