I give food ice in their food bowls and don’t have a problem, ice ice goes on the floor though. I have occasionally found a freezing puddle with my bare toes, but it isn’t usually a problem. I also refill their water bowl with ice cubes, except on the rare occasion when we actually have cold weather.
