One vet recommended bringing in a sample, due to possibly the tap causing blood in the urine. Another vet recommended doing the bladder tap to avoid the sample being contaminated with bacteria from the litter box or however the sample is caught. Good luck, I’m thinking of you. Does he look like he is trying to pee, or licking himself down there? If he does end up having to be catheterized, please bring him to a facility that will keep him over night and be hooked up to an IV for 48 hours. I am so hoping, of course, that it won’t be the case.
