Reply To: Cat food recommendations
Yes, that does make me feel a little better. Bdog has a kitty that was blocked before and had to be catheterized and is fine now too. I definitely need to get more fluids in him somehow. He didn’t even drink tuna water or the kitty milk I bought. I am going to keep trying though! I really don’t want to be faced with the decision of the surgery or permanent “sleep”. He has definitley been more active the last few days. Makes me wonder how long he had been suffering. I just thought he was staying upstairs due to the dogs being in the house loose more. He does seem to like the Purina canned vet food at least. And… at least Royal Canin kibble’s first ingredient is chicken, not corn grits or brewers rice like the other rx kibbles. Today is the last 1/4 dose of his muscle relaxer. I will really watch him now. My 15-year hyper-t kitty is eating the prescription food along with the kittens (4 years old) as well. It’s just easier that way. I think I will eventually feed half rx and half regular canned and keep them on the rx kibble for a while. Hoping not to feed any kibble in the near future. Thanks for your help.
