Ummm, the diningroom table… The dogs are never a problem, the cats, however,… The chicks are kept in a guinea pig crate when they are in the house. If one of the cats starts to fixate on them, the chicks get cardboard all the way around and a light on top. So far, it has pretty much been a nonissue. I kept them on a card table once. For some reason that was a bigger issue. I guess the noise they make was different on the flimsy table. Or the cats and dogs all believe in the wrath of God if they mess with the diningroom table. IDK.
